Director Prashanth Neel revealed that Prithviraj was his first and only choice for the antagonist role in Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire. Neel expressed gratitude for Prithviraj’s acceptance, citing the success of KGF for providing the opportunity to approach him.

Despite Shah Rukh Khan’s successful year with hits like Jawan and Pathaan, Dunki’s opening day figures of Rs 30 crore make it the 7th biggest opener of 2023. While it falls short of the performance of his earlier releases, Dunki’s long Christmas weekend may help the film in the long run.
