But what happens when one scammer manages to deceive not just a handful, but dozens of victims?  Yes, a shocking love scam from China has taken the internet by storm, where a total of 36 men were conned to invest in real estate. The woman allegedly posed as the ‘perfect girlfriend’ and convinced each of the victims to purchase apartments, only to cut all ties after sealing the deal.

This incident occurred in Shenzhen, China when a woman identified as Liu Jia reportedly presented herself as a virtuous, family-oriented woman looking for a serious relationship. For her master plan, she targeted men who were working professionals in Shenzen, all in their 30s. She led each of her targets to believe that they had found ‘the one’.
