In the premiere of the docuseries, Gordon spoke about his painful relationship with his late father, Gordon James Sr, “I sadly had a torrid relationship with my father.” Ramsay revealed his father was an alcoholic and never supported his ambition of becoming a chef. His father believed, “Cooking was for women and it wasn’t a man’s job.”
