During the episode, he also opened up about his family’s relationship with the Tata family.
Ratan Tata helped Kumar Mangalam after Aditya Birla’s death
Recently, Kumar Mangalam Birla gave the audience a good surprise when he decided to join Amitabh Bachchan on his reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. While having a candid conversation, the industrialist opened up about the bond between his family and the Tata’s. He shared that his grandfather was a good friend of JRD Tata. Kumar Mangalam was quoted as saying:
“Amit ji, our family has always shared a very close relationship with the Tata family. JRD Tata and my grandfather were close friends. There was a time when the Birla family held more shares in some Tata companies than the Tatas themselves. That’s how strong the trust and bond between the two families was.”
