Mohanlal is one of the prominent names in the Malayalam film industry, who has been ruling the silver screen for many decades now. Not just in regional cinema, Mohanlal enjoys global fame, and behind his success was his mother, Santhakumari Amma. However, on December 30, 2025, she bid adieu to the world at the age of 90.
She has been undergoing treatment after a stroke and passed away at the actor’s residence in Elamakkara, Kochi. It was in 2007 when Mohanlal lost his father, Viswanathan Nair, a former Law Secretary. It was his mother who stood by him during his highs and lows, and now with her passing, the actor is devastated.
