Rani Mukerji has reprised her role of ‘Shivani Shivaji Roy’ in the crime thriller, Mardaani 3. For the unversed, the film, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, was released in theatres on January 30, 2026. Plotline of Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3
The crime thriller, Mardaani 3 begins when Ambassador Sahu’s only daughter, ‘Ruhani’ gets kidnapped from a farmhouse. Along with her is another underprivileged girl, ‘Jhimli’, who has been kidnapped. Because the daughter of a VIP is involved, the case is given to ‘Shivani Shivaji Roy’ (played by Rani Mukerji), who is now the Senior Superintendent of Police under the NIA. However, as soon as ‘Shivani’ starts the investigation, she realises that the case is not just about missing girls but has some darker twists to it.
