A significant development has just unfolded regarding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie. Hours after FBI director Kash Patel released doorbell camera footage and high-resolution black-and-white photos of a masked man at Nancy’s house, law enforcement officials have detained one person for questioning in connection with the case, according to multiple reports. While the individual has not been charged or arrested, it remains unclear if the person is officially considered a suspect.
Where was the person detained?
According to sources from law enforcement, the authorities have detained the first person in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. Multiple outlets confirmed that the individual was located south of Tucson, near Rio Rico, Arizona, roughly an hour away from Nancy Guthrie’s home in the Catalina Foothills, where she had been allegedly abducted. As of now, officials say the detention is based on several investigative leads that developed over the past few days.
