Nicole Curtis Apologises For Using Racial Slur, Reacts To Comeback Show Being Canned, ‘Never Has..’

Nicole Curtis is the host of HGTV and DIY Network’s mega hit show, Rehab Addict. The show premiered in 2010 and has since become part of American binge-watching. However, a recent incident has led the network to make the tough decision to end the show. For the unversed, Rehab Addict had returned for Season 9 in July 2025. However, the third episode of the show was scheduled for release on February 12, 2026, but it has now been cancelled.

Nicole Curtis has finally addressed the controversy surrounding HGTV’s decision to pull her show, Rehab Addict, from its platforms. The decision was made by the network following the release of leaked footage showing her using a racial slur during filming. While the video left netizens extremely angry, Nicole has now issued a statement apologising for using the slur. In a conversation with TMZ, Nicole Curtis shared that the racial slur has never been a part of her vocabulary. She didn’t excuse the use and apologised to the community and stated:

“I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologise to everyone.”
