Following Rashmika Mandanna‘s engagement call-off with her ex-fiancé, Rakshit Shetty, in 2018, the actress’ mother, Suman Mandanna, broke her silence on the matter. She addressed the situation, saying that it was not an easy time for them and that they were still on the path of recovery from the blow. Rashmika’s family was “disturbed” after her wedding plans were foiled by unavoidable circumstances. According to the Animal actress’ mother, it was Rashmika and Rakshit’s life’s choice and their happiness was what mattered. She said:
“We are a bit disturbed with this issue and we are slowly recovering from past one month. Their [Rashmika ans Rakshit’s] lives are their own. Everyone should be happy. It’s no point in disturbing each other and disturbing their work.”
