Not Rashmika Mandanna, but Parineeti Chopra was reportedly the first choice for ‘Animal’
Rashmika Mandanna plays the role of ‘Geetanjali Singh’ in the movie, Animal. However, it was first supposed to be played by none other than Parineeti Chopra. Even back in 2021, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial movie was announced with Parineeti’s name attached to it. Although the actual reason for Parineeti backing out from Animal is not known yet, a report by Bollywood Hungama stated that the diva opted out of the movie because she had another project lined up. The report mentioned that Parineeti had to get into preparations for her next project, Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, and because of it, she couldn’t be a part of Animal. “She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot (of Chamkila), and unfortunately due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films.”
