As she has been quite vocal about her pregnancy journey thus far, the diva recently revealed how she lost out on a number of collaborative projects, just because of her pregnancy.
Rubina Dilaik states several brands withdrew collaborations with her post-pregnancy
In the latest episode of her talk show, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi: The Mamacado Show, Rubina Dilaik interacted with the talented comedian and a fellow mother, Bharti Singh. While discussing various topics, ranging from pregnancy to parenthood, Rubina revealed how pregnant women are slightly looked down upon professionally. Citing an example of the same, the actress revealed how several brands withdrew projects of collaboration with her, after they learned about her pregnancy. In her words:
“Initially when people started commenting that I am pregnant, I couldn’t react because till 3 months I couldn’t react. After 3 months, I got a bit comfortable and you feel like getting back to work. You also start to show. So many brands pulled out after learning about my pregnancy. Half of the brands don’t want to collaborate with you.”
