The Bachchans are the most respected family in the Indian cinema. It was in 1973 when the Shehanshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, tied the knot with the Bengali beauty, Jaya Bachchan. They welcomed their first child, Shweta Bachchan, in 1974 and completed their family with the arrival of their son, Abhishek Bachchan, in 1976.
Jaya Bachchan confessed to hitting Shweta Bachchan
The Bachchan clan often shares anecdotes from their life, and in a throwback interview, Jaya confessed how Shweta was a difficult child and would often get beaten by her. Once Amitabh, Jaya, Shweta and Abhishek graced Simi Garewal’s chat show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal. During the interview, Shweta confessed to Jaya’s partiality towards Abhishek. Jaya denied the same and stated that she often says the same.
