However, during the early days of their flourishing career, these two contemporaries were brought together for three films, Intekaam, Joshilaay, and Ram Avtar. However, it was their alleged fight on the set of Ram Avtar that grabbed the limelight.
Sunny Deol reportedly choked Anil Kapoor during the shooting of Ram Avtar
When Sunny Deol and Anil Kapoor decided to be cast in the movie, Joshilaay together, the former already grabbed the limelight with his performance in movies like Ram Lakhan and Mr. India. Speaking of Anil Kapoor, he was a star in the making. The movie, Joshilaay was offered to the duo back in 1989. As per a report by Aaj Tak, on the very first day of shooting, the cast of the movie was asked to recite a dialogue to announce the name of the movie, which everyone followed. But Anil Kapoor reportedly improvised his lines, which irked Sunny. The report also suggested how Sunny got angry but kept his mum after his name on the poster of Joshilaay came after Anil Kapoor. As per the report, during the shoot of a fight scene in their other film, Ram Avtar, Sunny Deol choked Anil Kapoor.
