Rani Mukerji Makes Rare Revelations About ‘Sasurji’ Yash Chopra, Says, ‘Was Very Shocking For Me…’

Yash Chopra is hailed as one of the most talented filmmakers of all time. He brought a whole new perspective to movies with his progressive thinking, as he always believed in experimenting with modern ideas. However, Yash died in 2012, and his last film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, was released shortly after his death. Yash’s son, Aditya Chopra, who is also a popular filmmaker, tied the knot with Rani Mukerji in 2014. The duo welcomed their daughter, Adira, in 2015.

Rani Mukerji on working with her late father-in-law, Yash Chopra

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rani Mukerji opened up about working with her late father-in-law, Yash Chopra, on the sets of the film, Veer Zaara. For the unversed, the actress played the role of a lawyer in the film, while Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta were the leads. Talking about the same, Rani revealed that it was a completely surreal moment for her as she always admired Yash Chopra. In her words:

“Working with Yash Chopra was a completely surreal moment for me in my life because he is a director who I really admired and then I watched him on set and he was really childlike. When he directed Veer-Zaara, I’m sure he must have been in his 70s but he was the youngest man on set.”
