Rohit Shetty is counted among the most energetic actors in the film industry. He was born to a renowned stuntman, M. B. Shetty, and his wife, Ratna, a Bollywood junior artist, who acted in many Hindi and Kannada films. Walking in the footsteps of his parents, Rohit too entered the same film business and has already made a mark for himself. Despite hailing from such a background where his parents already belonged to the industry, Rohit’s childhood was not a bed of roses. Instead, he had to work extremely hard to reach where he is today. Rohit Shetty recalls his family’s financial struggle after his father’s demise when he was only 8 years old
Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty graced the last released episode of the reality show, Koffee With Karan, and talked about an array of things from their life. During one of the segments of the show, Rohit recalled the financial challenges his family had to face when his father, M. B. Shetty passed away when he was just eight years old. Rohit revealed that he was in third standard at that time, and mentioned:
“Ovbiously, things were difficult after that. Till the age of 16, we had a lot of struggles and then I joined him (Ajay Devgn) when I was 17.”
