Sushmita Sen recalled her fight with airport authorities in court
Recently, we stumbled upon an interview with Sushmita Sen, wherein she recalled her struggle to get her daughters’ passports as they wanted their father’s name. In the clip that made rounds on the internet, Sushmita revealed that in India, no legal document is made without a father’s name, especially a passport. She shared she faced a lot of difficulty with her daughters’ passports as they would ask for their father’s name. Sushmita recalled:
“I still had a problem at the airport office. I went there and they said, ‘Nai, pita ka naam?’ Arey bhaiya, likha hai, mai maa hoon. Aap waha par dash likh diijiye na. (They said) ‘Nai, nai, yeh nai hoga.'”
