For the unversed, when Kareena Kapoor began her career, she faced tough competition from Ameesha Patel, who also debuted the same year in the movie, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, opposite Hrithik Roshan. However, as per reports, Kareena was the first choice for the film, but eventually, Ameesha landed the role. The latter even bagged the Best Debut Of The Year award, while Kareena received the Face Of The Year award at the Zee Cine Awards.
