And the doting bahu, Preity penned a heartfelt note for her father-in-law as she said the final goodbye to him. For the unversed, the actress tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Gene in 2016. Later, in 2021, the lovebirds welcomed their twin babies, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy.

On August 27, 2023, Preity Zinta took to her Instagram handle and informed her massive fanbase about the sudden demise of her father-in-law, Jon Swindle. Sharing a throwback picture from her wedding, the doting bahu penned a heartfelt note for her late father-in-law. In her note, Preity mentioned how she is going to miss her father-in-law’s warmth and kindness. Further, the actress added that she loved cooking Indian cuisine for her father-in-law. Her note can be read as:
“Dear Jon, I will miss your warmth, your kindness and most of all your incredible sense of humour. I loved going shooting with you, loved cooking your favourite Indian dishes and having conversations on every topic under the sun.”
