Sushant Singh Rajput was undoubtedly a gem of an actor in the Hindi film industry. He earned household fame with his stint in the hit television serial, Pavitra Rishta, opposite Ankita Lokhande. Thereafter, he made his giant leap of faith and made his film debut with Kai Po Che in 2015. Subsequently, he starred in a number of hit films such as M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, Raabta among others. However, since destiny had other plans, Sushant left for his heavenly abode on June 14, 2020, after he was allegedly found hanging on the ceiling fan of his home in Mumbai.

Ever since Sushant’s untimely demise, it is his sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, who has made several attempts and succeeded in keeping up his legacy alive among his fans. Every now and then, Shweta shares fond anecdotes and memorabilia from the late actor’s life, which surely brings a tear to the eyes of his fans. Something similar happened on August 30, 2023, when Shweta dropped a special video, dedicated to her bhai, Sushant on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The video featured various unseen moments from the late actor’s life, and also gave a glimpse of his many unseen photographs that still remain with his sister, Shweta. Along with it, Shweta penned an emotional long note, expressing her grief over missing her brother. An excerpt of it can be read as:
“The pain of losing you, even if I want to share it with anyone, I can’t. It is too close to my heart, and something that is that close you can hardly find words to describe it. The pain keeps growing deeper with every passing day, exposing the ephemeral nature of this material world, the only solace is God. Will see you the other side Bhai, soon enough till I too become a story to ridicule, to entertain or to inspire.”
