The vocalist faced strong competition from the nominees, including Ricky Kej’s Break of Dawn, Anoushka Shankar’s Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn, Radhika Vekaria’s Warriors of Light, and Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Opus.
