During the trailer launch event of Sukhee, Shilpa Shetty revealed that when Sonal Joshi and Vikram Malhotra approached her for the film, she said ‘no’ to it for some reason. The actress shared that she was not in that state of mind and that she asked the makers to cast someone else in the film. Talking more about the same, Shilpa mentioned that she even suggested two to three names to the makers to cast them in the film, but the makers were determined to cast her only. Talking about the same, Shilpa also shared that Vikram waited for eight long months for the actress to say yes to his film. Elaborating more on the same, Shilpa stated:
“Something had happened because of which I had decided that I won’t be able to do the film. I wasn’t in that state of mind. So I told them that perhaps right now I’m not in that mind space so they should cast someone else. I even suggested two-three names of other actors who could be cast. I won’t name them of course. But it was their goodness and confidence, that they were determined that only I would play the part. Vikram called me and said that whenever I was ready, they would take the film on floors. He adjusted everything and waited for eight months.”
