Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan recently announced his upcoming film after Sitaare Zameen Par, which is going to be an adaptation of the Indian epic, Mahabharat. He said that Mahabharat is his most passionate project and probably might even be his last film. On a recent appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast, he expressed that Mahabharat is his dream project and he has a strong connection with it.
Aamir Khan’s personal connection with Mahabharat
Aamir Khan has spoken a lot about his project, Mahabharat. On Raj Shamani’s podcast, he admitted that the story has stayed with him for decades now. For him, Mahabharat is not just another film, it will be a journey into human nature, values, power and emotions. He said that the film is going to be layered, it will have everything you will find in the world. His deep and personal connection with the film has made him handle this project with a lot of care, making sure that every single detail is well planned before the production of the film begins. He also mentioned that this film might be so fulfilling that he wouldn’t have anything else left to do. In his words:
”Maybe after doing this, I will feel that I have nothing left to do. I cannot do anything after this, as the material of this film is going to be like that. I hope that I die with my shoes on, but since you are asking, this is the one thing I can think of. Perhaps after this, I will feel that I don’t need to do anything else.”
