Randeep Hooda calls his wedding with Lin Laishram ‘a big drama’

In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Randeep Hooda recalled the drama surrounding his wedding and talked about the strict wedding rituals. The actor revealed that there was a stereotype as he had not married a Jaat girl, and he disclosed that during the same time of his marriage, there was a political turmoil in the state. Recalling the days, Randeep said that he went to Manipur with a group of 10-12 people and admitted that no one in the group was familiar with the customs and rituals of the state. Randeep shared that earlier, his wife, Lin, tried to explain the rituals to him through videos, but at that time, he was busy editing Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. In his words:

“It was a big thing where people said I wasn’t getting married to a Jatt girl. My marriage itself was a big drama since there was a problem going on in Manipur, and we were thinking of getting married. I had a friend like this brigadier with Assam rifles. I called him and he said, ‘Come, I’ll get you married.’ So 10-12 of us went there, and we had never been there. We had no idea about their ceremonies. She tried to show me videos of it, but I was busy editing Savarkar at that time.”
