After seven days of his demise, on June 19, 2025, his funeral took place. Sunjay’s funeral was delayed due to his US citizenship. However, on June 22, 2025, his prayer meeting took place.
Sunjay Kapur’s prayer meet notice reportedly had two important names missing
It was only two days ago that the notice about the prayer meeting was shared. Now, a report claimed that while the notice mentioned everyone who was related to Sunjay Kapur, it skipped mentioning two other names, who are also important to Sunjay, and would allegedly take forward their legacy. As per a report by India Forums, the notice of the prayer meet had the names of Sunjay’s four kids, Kiaan, Samaira, Azarias and Safira Chatwal, along with his widowed wife, Priya Sachdev, and his mom, Mrs Rani Surinder Kapur. The same report also shared that the prayer meet notice skipped mentioning the names of two sisters of Sunjay, Superna Motwane and Mandira Kapur.
