One of the most anticipated film of 2026, The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, is already making waves, despite not even having released a full public trailer yet. The film is slated for a release in the UK on July 17, 2026. Nolan’s latest epic adaptation is based on the legendary Greek poem attributed to Homer. He is all set to reimagine the tale for the big screen with a powerhouse cast and a visual scale that spans over continents. However, just as production kick started, the film has hit its first significant speed bump.
Cosmo Jarvis exits Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey
British actor, Cosmo Jarvis, who is known for his roles in Shogun and Peaky Blinders, was initially cast in an undisclosed role in The Odyssey. His involvement had generated plenty of buzz among the fans who were eager to see him in another high-profile role. But shortly before filming, Jarvis exited the project due to a scheduling conflict, leaving Nolan and the team to recast the part just ahead of the production.
