In April 2025, Telugu superstar, Allu Arjun and blockbuster filmmaker, Atlee officially announced their ambitious new project, which has been tentatively titled AA22xA6. The film will be a VFX-heavy sci-fi action thriller and is being produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The film features many big names, including Deepika Padukone, and the recent announcement has made the involvement of Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor official for the project.

One of the biggest surprises that AA22xA6 brought was the return of Rashmika Mandanna, alongside her Pushpa co-star, Allu Arjun. According to a Pinkvilla report, Rashmika’s role is set to be ‘one of the most daring’ of her career. Unlike the romantic dynamics in Pushpa, this time, her character will share a completely different equation with Arjun. Her character’s design and arc are currently in pre-production.
