In a shocking turn of events, San Rechal, who was also known as Sankara Priya Gandhi, committed suicide at the mere age of 26. The model, who was known for her bold stance against colourism, got married only a year ago, and the way she died raised concerns about the rising mental health issues, which led so many people to take the drastic step. Not many details about San Rechal’s demise had been known so far, and the investigations had been going on. It was reported that she had consumed a whole lot of either sleeping or BP pills on June 6, 2025.
San Rechal dies of kidney failure days after attempting suicide by consuming pills
San Rechal, who was known as Sankara Priya Gandhi broke all the stereotypes against the obsession for fair complexion in the glamour world. She had established a name for herself in her modelling career as well as on social media. Her demise came as a shock to many. It was reported that San Rechal consumed pills on June 6, 2025, after which, she was reportedly admitted to a Government hospital, but later, she was shifted to a private hospital, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. She survived all these days, but later on July 12, 2025, she succumbed to kidney failure and was declared dead.
