Directed by Chip n’ Dale, Rescue Rangers fame, Akiva Schaffer, the film has brought a new spin to the absurd detective comedy genre. Together, Liam, who steps in to play the iconic ‘Frank Drebin’s son, made headlines for his off-screen bond with Pamela. The Naked Gun premiered on July 28, 202t at the SVA Theater in New York, and the film is set to release across the US on August 1, 2025. Before the release, early reviews of the slapstick comedy film have arrived, which are mostly positive. It has received nearly 91 percent of critics’ scores on Rotten Tomatoes. As Liam Neeson’s return to the comedy genre has delighted fans, Indiewire’s David Ehrlich called it the “funniest American movie in years’ for referencing Elon Musk to racially motivated violence in the jokes. Sharing his views on the film, David penned:
