There’s always a mutual liking among audiences for a well-made horror film, a film that not only scares but also leaves a lasting impression. This summer, Zach Cregger’s Weapons managed to deliver exactly that. It filled a long-standing void for an intriguing psychological horror. Weapons managed to pull crowds to cinemas and has been ranked as one of the most successful horror thrillers of the year. The film’s global box office haul crossed USD 230 million, and it proved that. But fans still love to be spooked when the story is told right.
When and where will Weapons release on OTT?
After a successful theatrical run, Weapons is now set to make its way into living rooms. As per a report by The Economic Times, the Warner Bros. horror thriller will be available on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms starting September 9, 2025. Fans will later be able to rent or purchase the film through popular platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV / iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu. However, some other sources claim that since it is a Warner Bros. production, Weapons will first make its way to Max (formerly HBO Max), completing a few weeks after its initial digital premiere.
