There are very few film series that keep the audience hooked from the first film to the very last. The film opens in a small church in New York. The priest of the church, ‘Monsignor Jefferson Wicks’, gives a strong sermon but then walks into a closet. Soon after going inside, he is found dead in a very weird manner. To solve the case, detective ‘Benoit Blanc’ is called. Later, a young priest, ‘Jud Duplenticy’, who is confused, helps ‘Benoit’ uncover lies and anger.
