Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt got married to her childhood crush, Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, on the balcony of Ranbir’s home, Vastu in Bandra amidst her close friends and relatives. Their wedding was indeed dreamy. However, it was her look which swooned many hearts. She opted for a Sabyasachi ivory-hued saree with golden details for her wedding day. She teamed her minimal look with heavy kundan jewellery, open tresses and a simple henna design.

Now, in a recent interview with Vogue, Alia Bhatt opened up about the much-anticipated question about her wedding look. She was asked why she chose to wear a saree over a lehenga, unlike her contemporaries. To this, Alia revealed that since she loves to wear a saree and finds it the most comfortable fashion wear, she opted for one from the shelves of ace designer, Sabyasachi Mukhejee for her D-Day. Alia said:
“I love a saree. It’s the most comfortable garment in the world, which is why I wore one for my wedding and not a lehenga.”
