Joel Embiid was born on March 16, 1994, in Yaounde, Cameroon, and he is considered a towering force in the NBA. The Philadelphia 76ers selected Embiid 3rd in the 2014 NBA Draft, as scouts labeled him a ‘future superstar’ after watching him play for the University of Kansas.
