Pierre Robert, who was the famous radio icon of Philadelphia and was known for his rocking show on 93.3 WMMR, is no more. Pierre passed away at the age of 70, and according to a report by RadioLink, he was found dead at his house on the morning of October 29, 2025. Robert had a career spanning across four decades, making him one of the most loved radio personalities.

Pierre Robert became the favourite of his fans when, in 1981, he joined the 93.3 WMMR radio station, and his listeners came to love his energetic personality, his love for rock music, and his signature words, “Greetings Citizens.” Now, Beasley Media Group, the owner of WWMR, has issued a statement confirming Pierre’s death. In a sad note, it read:

“A true radio icon, Pierre was one of the most recognized personalities in the City of Philadelphia. He hosted the midday show with his unabashed love for music, his listeners, and the city. Pierre encompassed everything that rocks — from classic to alternative, punk to singer-songwriter.”
