BTS is one of the world’s biggest boy bands, with over 30 million subscribers on Weverse. However, the group had been on hiatus for quite some time following the members’ mandatory military service in South Korea in 2022, leaving their fans to wait patiently for them to reunite and unveil their new music. It is only recently that the members reunited and announced their comeback during a livestream on Weverse on July 1, 2025. Since then, the members often partake in a post-practice livestream to connect with their fans. In one such livestream that occurred recently, members, RM and Jimin, talked about their band’s disbandment, albeit jokingly, sending their fans worldwide into an absolute frenzy. Here’s what happened.
Why did RM and Jimin talk about BTS’s disbandment?
BTS members, RM and Jimin, surprised their subscribers on Weverse by treating fans to an impromptu chat. As the duo joined the livestream after their practice, they soon realised that their broadcast only had a single viewer. This was especially shocking considering the fact that the group has more than 30 million subscribers on the platform. Jimin, who was initially lying on the floor, was the first one to point out the unusually low viewer count by saying, “Only one person joined. The network doesn’t really work here, but there’s really just one viewer.”
