Abhishek Bachchan is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. Following in the footsteps of his parents and eminent actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek made his debut in the year 2000, with the film, Refugee. Fast forward to now, the actor has been a part of a plethora of films, and received innumerable awards, which has simply established him leagues apart from the rest. And in a recent interaction, the actor opened up about an unheard facet of his life.
Abhishek Bachchan reveals he initially wrote a script for his debut film
In an interaction with Galatta Plus, Abhishek Bachchan opened up on an unheard facet of his life. Recalling the initial years of his career, the actor mentioned that he was initially set on writing the script for a film, which could’ve been his debut film. Abhishek revealed that he, along with filmmaker, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, decided to make a script for a film called, Samjhauta Express. Elaborating more, he said:
“I was sitting with my friend Rakeysh Mehra and I said, yaar, it has been two years and I can’t get a film and I am getting really demoralised. He said, I also want to direct a film but they all want me to direct ads. So I said, I’ll act for you. He said, yeah, I’ll direct you. We wrote a script called Samjhauta Express.”
