Abhishek Bachchan is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, Kaalidhar Laapata and sat down for an interview with ETimes for the same. During the conversation, he took a trip down memory lane and recalled the emotional story of how he proposed to his now-wife, Aishwarya Rai. He revealed that the proposal happened after the premiere of his 2007 film, Guru, in New York. The actor explained that the film was not just special for his career but had also set a personal milestone for him. Abhishek, who likes to make his films explained how Guru wasn’t an exception to his habit. In his words:
“I proposed to her at the premiere, after the premiere in New York. But all my films are very personal. And I ensure that. There are possibly one or two that might not be as personal. But my rule of thumb is it has to be personal. If it’s not personal, then I’ll probably not do it.”
