Akshay, as seen in the clip, is playing the role of the Hindu god, Lord Shiva and is seen giving a power-packed dialogue. He has found himself minting controversy as his monologue delivery was slammed, as it was alleged that the actor used a teleprompter.

Eagled-eyed fans of the actor were quick to see the part of Akshay in Kannappa, where his eyes were seen moving from left to right in a very unnatural way. Netizens were quick to note that he was saying the mythologically based dialogue as Lord Shiva from a teleprompter, which was placed right in front of him. The clip went viral on X, and one user commented, “He is struggling and trying to act, let him do it. Why do people make fun of struggling people? 35+ years in the industry, still struggling?”
