Amitabh Bachchan Lands In Legal Trouble As The CAIT Imposes A Fine Of Rs. 10 Lakhs On The Actor

Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly the most evergreen star of Bollywood. Even at the age of 80, the talented actor can give any other young actor a run for their money, as he has been exploring newer and newer horizons of work. Be it the silver screen, OTT platforms, advertisements or television space, Big B has been winning hearts almost everywhere. However, it seems that one of his work engagements has landed him into big time trouble recently.

Amongst all his projects and collaborations, Amitabh Bachchan has been a part of quite a few brand endorsements, that includes some prominent brands. However, recently, the Confederation of All India Traders have put forth a complaint against the actor, for one of his brand advertisements with Flipkart. According to the complaint, that has been shared by Secretary General of the CAIT on X (formerly known as Twitter), the actor has engaged in a misleading advertisement with the retail brand, Flipkart, that states that deals and discounts for the sale of mobile phones are only available only on the online retail platform, and not in retail stores. The CAIT has further imposed a fine of Rs. 10 lakhs to the actor for spreading such factually incorrect news.
