Recently, Anurag’s daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap exchanged rings with her beau, Shane Gregoire. And now, the doting daddy talked about his regrets over not being involved in his daughter’s life.

In an interview with Film Companion, Anurag Kashyap opened up about not being involved in his daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap’s life. Talking about the same, the filmmaker mentioned that he was so busy building a career for himself that he didn’t realise that he had isolated himself from everyone. Anurag recalled how he once saw a picture of his daughter and realised that time had already passed and he had missed some crucial years of her life. In his words:

“I’m very scared of losing loved ones. I’ve realised after a long time in the sense that… In my process of pursuing this… One film after another, I left a lot of things behind. But there comes a point where I realise my daughter has suddenly grown up. I see her old pictures and I’m like, Oh my god, I miss this.”
