Kannada actress, Bhavana Ramanna, had broken all the conventional norms when she announced that she was embracing motherhood without marriage. What was even more shocking for people was that the 40-year-old actress had conceived through IVF after she felt the urge to be a mother despite being single. Bhavana stood strong through her brave decision and reportedly gave birth to twin girls prematurely a week ago, in late August 2025. However, according to reports, there is an air of both celebration and condolence in the Ramanna household.
Only one of the baby girls of Bhavana Ramanna has survived
Reportedly, Bhavana Ramanna had developed some health issues while in her third trimester, that is, in the seventh month of her pregnancy. A Times Now report suggested that the actress was facing fluctuations with her health, and after she was tested, it was found out that one of the twins was actually having issues. As a result, Bhavana was admitted to the hospital in her eighth month, and gave birth to premature twin girls. Unfortunately, only one of Bhavana’s baby girls survived. The news about her delivery broke out recently on September 6, 2025. However, according to a Udayavani report, the actress gave birth a few weeks ago. As of now, Bhavana and her baby girl are fine and healthy.
