Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 19 which premiered at 9 p.m. on Jio Hotstar. Season 19 of the show took its first digital approach, where every episode premiering on the OTT platform will air for 90 minutes. Salman has been hosting the season for the 17th year now, and reportedly, the 105-day season will have around 17-18 contestants. The theme of the show, this year (2025) is Gharwalon Ki Sarkar and Salman recently in a media statement shared that he does not understand the meaning of the same.

Before Bigg Boss 19 premiered, Salman had earlier attended a press event related to the controversial reality show. He was asked by the media related to the interesting theme of the show and revealed that he does not understand the same. The contestants are set to run the show, will have unique powers. The audience will also have a role in changing the narrative of the game. Salman, addressing the theme of Bigg Boss 19, was confused and said:
“Honestly meko samajmei aaya nai. Alag concept hai season alag hoga toh karte karte mujhe bhi samaj meui aaega jaise ki darshako ko samaj mei aaega.”
