Ayan Mukerji will direct the unnamed movie, and it is planned as part of the revival of the iconic RK Films and Studios, a production by Raj Kapoor. The banner was temporarily shut down due to legal complications; however, it is expected to be free of those by mid-December, 2025, according to Koimoi. Following the revival of RK Films, the new movie will be planned out. Ayan Mukerji and Konkona Sen Sharma are co-writing the screenplay.
