Dhanush is one of the most popular actors in the Tamil film industry. Besides being an actor, Dhanush is a filmmaker, lyricist and singer. Currently, the actor is all set to hit the silver screen with his upcoming film, Kuberaa. The movie is set to release on June 20, 2025. Recently, Dhanush appeared at an audio launch event for Kuberaa and took an indirect dig at Nayanthara. For the unversed, in 2024, Dhanush and Nayanthara fell into a controversy after the latter used a three-second clip in her then-upcoming documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale from Dhanush’s 2015 film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
Dhanush indirectly slams Nayanthara at the audio launch event of Kuberaa
During the audio launch event of Kuberaa, Dhanush spoke his heart out. In his speech, Dhanush mentioned a person who tried to sabotage his image. Without mentioning any name, the actor went on to say that it was so much foolishness of that person who tried to spread rumours about him. Dhanush also shared how his fans have been his pillar of strength for 23 years. Addressing the nameless person, Dhanush said:
“You can spread as many rumours as you want about me, spread any negative news about me. Each time a movie of mine releases, there’s a negative campaign against me one and a half months before that. But you won’t be able to do anything as my fans are my strong pillars of support. All those who are here are not just my fans but my companions of 23 years. If you thought that you could spread some rumours and end me, there can be nothing more foolish than that. You cannot even move a brick. Your thoughts decide how you live.”
