Dharmendra’s ICU Video Leak, Zarine Khan’s Daughter Slams ‘Insensitive’ Filming Of Hospital Clip

A private video of veteran star, Dharmendra, in a vulnerable state at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital went viral online. The clip featured the Sholay actor surrounded by his family, including his first wife, Prakash Kaur and sons Sunny and Bobby Deol. Prakash Kaur was seen breaking down in tears in the video, secretly recorded by a hospital staff member. The hospital employee who filmed Dharmendra and his family without their consent was arrested for causing the actor’s family a significant privacy issue. The act was condemned by many fans and by Zarine Khan’s daughter, Farah Khan Ali.

Farah Khan Ali was outraged by the filming and spread of Dharmendra’s ICU video

Farah Khan Ali condemned the insensitivity surrounding the filming and dissemination of a video from a private hospital featuring veteran actor Dharmendra. She took to Instagram to share her feelings regarding the incident, questioning the lack of humanity and respect for privacy. She slammed the pattern of reportage on celebrities during their low times or vulnerable moments, citing her own experience during her mother, Zarine Khan’s, death. As per Farah, people were more interested in finding out about what religion Zarine followed and why her last rites were performed according to Hindu traditions, rather than sending condolences to the bereaved family. Farah stated:

“My mother passed away 6 days ago and there were some here who were more interested in why she chose to be cremated instead of giving condolences. Dharam Uncle is in hospital and a video of his personal family goes viral. Are we as a nation so insensitive to people. Don’t public figures also have families that have feelings?”
