‘Diljit Has Hurt Indian Sentiments’, FWICE Calls Nationwide Ban On His Work Over Collab With Hania

Diljit Dosanjh recently shared the trailer of his highly awaited upcoming film, Sardaar Ji 3. While the film itself promises to serve a ride of comedy, fantasy and entertainment, the spotlight quickly shifted to the presence of Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir in the film. Her significant presence in the trailer has received immense backlash from netizens owing to the recent India-Pakistan tensions. The issue has now taken a serious turn after the Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) called for a nationwide ban on Diljit and all his future projects.

FWICE criticises Diljit Dosanjh for hurting the sentiments of India

The tensions between India and Pakistan took a new turn after the horrific Pahalgam attack and subsequent Operation Sindoor in May 2025. In the aftermath of the incidents, there was a conversation about banning the collaboration of Indian artists with Pakistani talent. Amid this, Sardaar Ji 3′s trailer has reignited the debate. B.N Tiwari, the President of the Federation FWICE, sat down for a conversation with the Hindustan Times and called out Diljit for working with Hania Aamir. He highlighted that the actor had hurt the sentiments of Indians and the brave soldiers who bravely defend Indian borders. In his words:

“By working with a Pakistani actor, Diljit has hurt Indian sentiments. He has disrespected the sentiments of the nation and insulted the sacrifice of our brave soldiers. His preference for Pakistani talent over Indian artists raises serious questions about his loyalty and priorities.”
