Family Bids Adieu To Clive Kunder, Co-Pilot Of The Doomed Flight, Mortal Remains Brought Home

June 12, 2025, will forever remain one of the darkest days in Indian history. For the unversed, a few days back, on June 12, 2025, an Air India flight crashed soon after its takeoff from Ahmedabad’s international airport, which was bound for London. With 230 passengers, 10 cabin crew members and 2 pilots, the Air India Boeing 787-8 plane crashed into residential quarters of the BJ Medical College. Now, on June 19, 2025, the mortal remains of Clive Kunder, the co-pilot of the doomed flight, were brought to Mumbai for the last rites.

Clive Kunder’s last rites performed in Sewri Christian Cemetery at Mumbai

Clive Kunder, was the first operating officer and the co-pilot of the ill-fated Air India flight, who lost his life in the tragic plane crash. He was assisting Captain Sumeet Sabharwal on the doomed flight, which was bound for London. Clive, the Mumbai-based pilot, was a resident of Karnataka. According to a report by India Today, Clive’s mortal remains arrived at Mumbai airport and then were taken to his residence in Goregaon West, Mumbai, where his family paid him tribute and bid him adieu. His last rites were performed at the Sewri Christian Cemetery, Mumbai. His funeral began at 2:30 pm on June 19, 2025. According to multiple reports, Bollywood actor, Vikrant Massey is the family friend of Clive Kunder.
