Recently, Fatima Sana Shaikh opened up about her struggles as an outsider in the industry. She revealed how newcomers and outsiders are not treated right, especially when they are not from any powerful background. Fatima also spoke about a co-actor who tried to take all the limelight. 

Fatima Sana Shaikh’s struggles in Bollywood

Recently, in an interview with Humans of Bombay, Fatima Sana Shaikh gave insights into the harsh reality of the Bollywood industry. She said that the way an actor is treated on set depends on what role they are playing in the movie. The lead actors are often treated with a lot of respect, care and importance, while the supporting actors are treated as if they are not important at all. She even used the term ‘second grade’ to describe the treatment that supporting actors go through.
