Greg’s death was first announced by his friend and motorsports YouTuber, Garrett Mitchell and subsequently confirmed by Richard Hudson on X (formerly Twitter). The surviving families of the deceased individuals have shared their grief through official statements.
Greg Biffle and his family died in a tragic plane crash, investigation underway
Retired NASCAR driver, Greg Biffle and his entire family were tragically killed in a plane crash at the Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina. The plane, a Cessna C550 business jet owned by Greg Biffle, crashed around 10:20 a.m. while attempting to land shortly after taking off for a planned trip to Florida. The officials initially did not reveal the identities of the deceased, and it was Garrett Mitchell who broke the news of Greg, his wife Cristina Biffle, their son, Ryder, and their daughter, Emma’s passing. Garrett revealed that Greg Biffle and his family were travelling to Florida to visit him. The statement, posted on Facebook, read:
“Unfortunately, I can confirm Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder were on that plane.”
