In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Vivek shared that he told the producer of Ramayana, Namit Malhotra, that he didn’t want any money and wanted to donate it to a good cause, like children fighting cancer. He also told the producer that he wanted to work with him and support him because he liked the project and was pretty confident it would take Indian cinema to the global stage. He was quoted as saying:
“I told Namit that I don’t want a penny for this, I want to donate it to any sort of cause that I believe in, which is kids with cancer. I told him I want to support you because I just love what you’re doing, and I think that this will take Indian cinema on the global stage with a bang.”
