Iga Swiatek comes from a sports family
Iga was born on May 31, 2001, in Warsaw, Poland. Her father, Tomasz Swiatek, is a former Olympian who represented Poland in rowing at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, while her mother, Dorota, is a respected orthodontist. Iga wasn’t the only child in her family that was drawn to sports; her elder sister, Agata, also took up tennis for a brief time before choosing to pursue dentistry.
